Arran – Venezuala Snippet

Just received word from John and Anne Arran, who have had a very successful expedition to the jungles of Venezuala, John Arran has reported freeing a 25-pitch new route on a 700m tower (cerro autana – see photo) in the middle of the jungle. The route took 11 days in total, and the couple were on the wall for nine days.Three pitches of the routes were E7 (5.13) and there was, apparently “heaps of knarl factor”. More details will be published when he returns to the UK.
