Dave MacLeod has climbed Scotland´s second E9, completing his long termproject in Glen Croe, Arrochar. The Fugue E9 6c climbs a 40degree overhanging wall with a very hard crux move above some poor gearin a soft break. Dave was only able to link the route twice in a row onthe top rope once, and led the route without the falls whichcharacterized his last E9 (and Scotland´s first), Achemine at Dumbarton.Dave reckons the route is F8a+ to top rope but with a probablegroundfall from the crux, warrants E9.
