Dave Graham and Luke Parady have redpointed Fred Nicole´s Swiss route Elfe, 9a, on 5th try. Elfe was established in 1997 and has only been repeated twice, by Klem Leskot and Iker Pou. The pair are now in Ceuse, France where, along with Chris Sharma, the race is on for the first ascent of the Biographie extension. Sharma has apparently climbed the crux for the first time, but is yet to complete the whole thing. Biographie itself weighs in at 8c+, the extension another 50 feet of 8c. The consensus for the new grade? We´ll wait and see. In the meantime, Graham and Steve McClure are busy flashing and onsighting 8a+´s and 8b´s.
