Bouldering ban at Stanage "to be resisted"

After the threat of a ban on bouldering at the Cowper Stone end, the Peak Area meeting brought resolve to “resist” such a move – which is being put forward by birdwatchers who point to the presence of ring ouzels in the area. Other issues discussed were Pay and Display – which may spread all over the Peak except North Lees [not Park + Ride which we said earlier – duh, and thanks for correction Kevin Stapley] – and the chipping/wire brushing at Newstones and Ramshaw, which produced “frankly horrifying” photos.
