by Mick Ryan Dennis Gray, past President of the BMC, eternal rope boy, author, and well-travelled climber will be giving a lecture based on 60 years of climbing this weekend in Leeds. Dennis has seen it all. His lecture will feature many of the great figures (and friends of his) of the past six decades; Arthur Dolphin, Don Whillans, Joe Brown, Tom Patey, Dougal Haston and of course more. His experience ranges from Yorkshire Gritstone to K2 and will include stories, songs and poems. The venue is The Flux Gallery at 16a Midland Road, off Kensington Terrace, Hyde Park, Leeds 6. Kick off 7.30p.m on the Saturday, 13th October. Entrance fee of £5 includes a drink and nibbles! Not to be missed if you are free this Saturday.
