Festival Update

Winter is most certainly the time for mountain festivals. Over the weekend a very snowy North Wales saw Llanberis put together its most impressive list yet of films and speakers. Leo Houlding was on top of his lecturing game and performed to a full house. Joe Brown came out of his hideaway for the Rock and Ice Legacy. Also amazing to hear Doug Verity´s tales about his father – the great Yorkshire cricketer Hedley Verity….. Stick his name in google. Strange to think a Rock and Ice legend had a cricket legend as a father! Whilst this was going on Tim Emmett took a trip in a tandem paraglider from above the slate quarries. Then when 650ft above the Electric Mountain Centre jumped off……. Website Joe Brown and Tim Emmett at Llamff. The event, due to take place next weekend in conjunction with a large scale bouldering competition held at three of London´s main climbing walls will still happen, but probably in October or November.
