The UK´s only 3 day mountain marathon the ´Great Lakeland 3 Day´ or GL3D to its friends was on tour this year. Rather than being in the Lake District as usual, as a 10th anniversary special, the event travelled to Snowdonia for three hard days running on the Welsh mountains. The GL3D has grown significantly in the previous few years with the 2007 event being the biggest yet with over 80 people entering. Perhaps the lure of the British Mountain Marathon Champs (more info here) encouraged a few extra Elite competitors to take part?
