Two runners in New Haven, America caused a massive terror alert by laying out a hash trail. An IKEA store was evacuated and closed down for the night when someone spotted flour being sprinkled on the ground and called the police. Daniel and Dorethee Salcow were laying the trail for a 4-mile run last Thursday to celebrate the New Haven Hash House Harriers Club´s 4th birthday. Hashers had started to use chalk instead of flour in the wake of 9/11 but as security fears have reduced they have reverted back to the biodegradable substance. A spokesman for the mayor´s office said ´´You see powder connected by arrows and chalk, you never know.´´The siblings are due in court to face charges of breaching the peace and the city plans to seek restitution.
