He´s Alive….Ueli Steck falls off Annapurna

by Erik Lambert Ueli Steck Ueli Steck´s solo attempt to climb a new route on Annapurna´s (8091m) south face ended May 28, when he survived a 300-meter fall. The 30 year old from Switzerland, recently soloed the Eiger Nordwand (3970m) in a record time of 3:54 this February, and is known for his lightweight approach and is a long-time critic of supplemental oxygen.
