Just a few days after making the first ground up ascent of John Dunne´s Parthian shot, E9 6c, Kevin Jorgeson made quick work of James Pearson´s The Promise at Burbage, „the hardest route on gritstone“, originally given E10 7a. Kevin found some new beta and suggests the grade is more like E8, 5.13c/d R, meaning risky, but not super dangerous 8a+ or 8b.
