During five days in Gorges du Loup, Adam Ondra did ten remarkable ascents, including four 8c+ and PuntX for which he suggested a downgrade to 9a. Always brave in giving comment, the 15-year-old says, “might be 9a+, very hard for 9a in my opinion, but 9a+??.. In this case, the slashgrade is the most relevant,” and states that four out of the five where “Poorly/Mainly chipped”.The 15-year-old is #2 in the world ranking but he would have been #1 without all his suggested downgrades. Just the ascents over the five days would have placed him Top-10 in the world.
