Peak Rubbish Collection – May 13th

Acute awareness of the potential impact of publishing its superb new “Burbage, Millstone and Beyond” guidebook has forced the B.M.C. to hurriedly organise a litter pick, to ensure that the surge of popularity in the area does not have a negative visual impact.A joint initiative with Hathersage-based retailer Outside will take place on Saturday 13 May from 9am, so you can participate without having to sacrifice a precious day?s climbing. Just get yourself to Outside, where you?ll be equipped with state of the art tools, briefed in minute detail, and despatched to a designated theatre of operations.Outside is generously donating prizes, and awards will be made in the categories of Most Collected, Nastiest Item, Strangest Item, etc. Volunteers will be re-fuelled by the Outside Café after 5pm, and will then be treated to an audio-visual show most likely provided by one of the Sheffield glitterati.Contact Jez Portman at Outside on 01433 651936 to reserve your bin bag.Cheers now,Martin KocsisBMC Volunteers´ Officer ———————————————————————– If you have any news worth reporting please contact Matt – / 0114 2969114 ———————————————————————–
