planetFear open as usual

Despite the dramatic Sheffield floods the planetFear shop is fully open today along with Cafe Euro and the Edge Climbing Wall. Not so lucky was the Foundry climbing wall, suffering badly when the nearby river Don broke its banks and flooded the main climbing hall. The wall is currently closed but should reopen within the next few days. The Climbing Works managed to stay dry…just. The local river Sheaf was flowing incredibly fast and was threatening to burst at any time. The Edge was the only climbing wall in Sheffield to remain flood-risk free yesterday as an incredible 10cm of rain fell in parts of Yorkshire. All planetFear staff are safe and well and the post is working fine today so no further disruptions are anticipated. Check out further photos of the flooding in Sheffield and surrounding areas on the BBC news website  and Sheffield Star
