Threat of closures at Fontainbleau

For all of you travelling down to Fontainbleau this Easter, you will be happy to know that the Dame Jouanne area will not be closed to climbing – for the time being.There were worries that due to erosion, the French Government and the ONF were going to close the entire L´Archant area.However, the Parisien newspaper rported yesterday that they are looking at 11 areas which might be closed to climbing and will provide a list of these within 15 days.Dame Jouanne has some classic problems with perhaps the most famous being the stunning arete of L´Angle Parfait (7a+).
