Third Ascent of Jade, V15 by Robinson No longer do we need to wait years before hard boulder problems get repeats. In less than 6 weeks the problem Jade, described by Tyler Landman as “the epitome of hard bouldering…(and) an important testpiece for my generation” has seen 3 ascents. First sent by Daniel Woods in late June, Tyler made the quick 2nd ascent a few weeks later and now Paul Robinson has made the 3rd. This V15 problem had been a major project for years in Rocky Mountain National Park and once climbed it seems the magic has been broken. Of note as well is that all 3 acentionists are under 20 – Woods (16), Landman(16), Robinson(19) – and all 3 climb regularly together. Healthy competition indeed.
