Despite lying in sixth equal place (out of seven qualifiers) after three rounds at the BICC in WICC (Welsh Indoor Climbing Centre), Gareth Parry came through to win in the final round, edging out Steve McClure, Adrian Baxter and Chris Cubitt, who were all a hold short at the end. In the women´s event, Lucy Creamer dominated, topping out all over the place and beating Emma Twyford and Abigail May into second and third places. In the boy´s, Tom Bolger and Cal Reedie shared the honours in the final round, although Tom had dominated the rest of the field.
