After 20 years leading the French market, Vertical magazine is evolving to a greater level.By the 15th of July, newsagents around Europe, and indeed the rest of the world, should be selling the very first issue of the new format magazine. Costing around 5.5Euros and published 6 times a year the magazine will be available in four different languages: English, French, German and Italian, depending on where you buy it. Vertical´s aim is to be the international bench-mark mountaineering magazine.   The International editors are: Claude Gardien, Chief Editor. Maurizio Oviglia, Italian assistant chief editor. Alexandra Graf, German assistant chief editor. Neil Brodie, English assistant chief editor. Christophe Dumarest, French editor.                                                               If you are interested in advertising in the new mag get in touch with anne@vertical-magazine.com, but be prepared for some hefty rates as they are anticipating a readership in the region of a quarter of a million people world wide! We obviously appreciate that advertising is one of the primary engines that keep magazines running, but can´t help drawing comparisons with Alpinist, the privately funded North American magazine which lacks adverts and sounds similar in concept to the new offering from Vertical. It´ll be an interesting tussle. The magazine will be launched in the UK during July at a London based Ellis Brigham shop. ———————————————————————– If you have any news worth reporting please contact Matt – matt@planetfear.com / 0114 2969114 ———————————————————————–
