by Jack Geldard – Editor – UKC Scott Bouldering In The Peak As the summer rains give way to cooler autumn rains, Scott Mclellan (UKC Profile) has dodged the deluge and capitalised on the friction with hard ascents on the gritstone boulders of Stanage. After flashing the famous Brad Pit (Font 7b+/7c) and flashing The Joker (Font 8a) in the same session, he returned to the Plantation a couple of weeks later. On October 17th he dispatched The Ace (Font 8b) in a single three hour session. This powerful problem repulsed Dave Graham on a recent visit to Stanage (see the UKC Video Interview with Dave). Tom Randall, British Senior Team Manager, commented:“[He´s a] very nice chap and certainly got some pretty strong fingers! Hemanaged to drag his butt up The Ace at the Plantation today which isn´tbad for someone who´s been climbing for such a relatively short time!“
