PlanetMountain.com reports that Luca Zardini has done his first 9a, Welcome to the club at Cortina. The route starts with an old 8b+ and then 12 new moves, “I needed more than two years and more then 30 attempts spread out over this entire period to send these final 12 violent moves”. Luca has been competing actively until 2007 and in 1992 he was #2 in the World Cup.
