Starting tomorrow [August 24], Sir Chris Bonington will be relaying back his exploits from the „unclimbed, unexplored“ mountain fastness of Ladakh in the top North West corner of India.Sir Chris says: „The highest peak in the range is 6789m, and there are a dozen more peaks in the 6000m range around a complex glacier system. From distant photographs and maps based on satellite observations the peaks appear technically challenging.“ Online reports will start flowing back to the Arganglas expedition web page– which just goes to show that he may qualify for a bus pass (being over 65) but SCB can still show other folk a few things about using new technology.
