by Mick Ryan Climb magazine, edited by Neil Pearsons and published by Greenshires is now online with a strong web presence. Climber magazine, Climb´s rival unveiled their website, www.climber.co.uk earlier this year. What is special about the Climb website is the archival material that they are making available. You can download, after registration, articles and gear reviews from back issues of Climb magazine and the two magazines, On The Edge and High, that spawned Climb. As the site develops, Karen Dench of Greenshires who has been heavily involved with the new site launch told us that they may consider putting the best of the old Crags magazine online. Problem is that, Crags, started by Geoff Birtles, which ran to 30+ issues in the late 70´s and early 80´s, wasn´t digital and will have to be scanned.
