Go Outdoors (used to be called COLA), the annual gathering of outdoor recreational suppliers, manufacturers and retailers is currently underway in Harrogate. We popped up yesterday to see what is hot and what is new. Probably the biggest news as far as we climbers go is a new range of cams from Wild Country. The ´Zero´s´ range from 5.5mm to 24mm. Get your rulers out and just measure 5.5mm! They all have passive strength and the terminations and axles have been moulded into one piece. Don´t get too excited though as they won´t hit the shelves for a while yet. 
We also saw waterproof mobile phone holders that allow you to use the phone without removing from the holster! Motorola have launched a new and improved version of their TA walkie talkie range that´s about half the size of the TA200. Troll have started a range of crampons as well as ice axes. A company called Thaw are producing a broad range of women only technical clothing. Watch this space for up coming product launches and reviews.
