London City Chase 2007

This weekend sees the second ever London City Chase. Pairs of competitors will each be given 15 clues to guide them to 15 different ´chasepoints´ around the capital.Apparently clues may be quite cryptic and teams are allowed to use phones, friends and internet cafes. Teams must then navigate to 10 out of the 15 chasepoints on foot or by public transport (it has been suggested that having a travel card including zones 1 and 2 on the tube might be useful!). Part scavenger hunt, part obstacle course, chasepoints are designed to test teams with a variety of physical, mental, and otherwise adventurous challenges. To give you an idea of some of the challenges, confirmed partners of the event so far include a karaoke bar, a climbing wall and an underwater hockey (Octopush) club! Obviously there is luck involved with challenges such as these, and knowing central London will be advantageous. Look out for top orienteers and fell runners Matt Crane and Neil Northrop, trying their luck and competing as team planetFear.com The winning team in London event will win and all expenses paid trip to represent their country at the 2007 World City Chase Championship at another European city. The winners will be out pounding the streets for anything between 3 and 4 hours. More info available here: http://www.citychase.com
