Yesterday Ben Heason took advantage of a break in the bad weather complete a project of his at Froggatt. Ozbound takes a blank looking and direct line between Turd Burgler and Dogs Die in Hot Cars on the boulder below Valkyrie. He´s graded it a tentative E8 7a (for the time being ;-)). He also (on the same day) headpointed the rarely climbed Neon Dust on Valkyrie Buttress, E6 7a. The Font 7c+ start has been bouldered plenty of times, but most then scurry leftwards rather than continuing up the bold crimpy wall between Valkyrie and Narcissus. Last week he also made probably the first onsight ascent (without the pre placed runner – virtually impossible to place on lead) of Better Dead Than Smegg, E6 6c – a direct start to Brightside. Ben is currently writing up the new Froggatt guide book. He has about ten routes left to do before ticking the crag!
