Siegrist strikes gold

On his everlasting quest for finding and climbing the best lines everywhere, Jonathan Siegrist has struck gold again. After having had a closer look on the two long standing projects at the Gold coast crag in the Red River Gorge, he realised that the most likely line was actually between the old projects.A series of varied, albeit poor grips, barely feature this section of wall. The climbable features follow the right bolted project and then gently drift left to finish up the left bolted project. I added a middle bolt to aid with the flow of the route and began working it.After working it for a few days, and having come to terms with all the subtleties of the climb, such as deadpoints to non-holds and shallow monos, Jonathan managed a successful redpoint of Twenty Four Karats, for which he suggests 8c+.
