Stunning Recent Inversion Photos in the UKC Photo Gallery

by Mick Ryan Blencathra sunset If you were out in one of the UK´s mountain regions over the Christmas period you may have been lucky to have experienced some great temperature inversions. Many registered users at UKClimbing.com got up off the couch and were rewarded with scenes that we all dream of. Rob S witnessed inversions around Snowdon, Yr Aran and Moel Siabod. You can see Rob´s gallery here here. Slapper was lucky enough to witness a Brocken Spectre on the summit of Y Garn looking down into the Ogwen Valley here. In Northern Ireland Doz Generale got this shot of his brother on the Mourne Wall here and this stunning shot of the wall itself. In the Lakes conditions were spectacular, Cliff Hanger got this stunner ofScafell Pike. On Christmas Eve kajsurfer took this of Langdale Pikes to Skiddaw from Pike O´Blisco. Shaw Brown´witnessed cloud pouring into Haweswater over High Street (here). Chris Andrew´s shot of Ill Bell and the Kentmere valley from High Street (here) is very worthy and Jonathan Lagoe had a fitting end to the day with this sunset from Blencathra (here).
