by BMC Tyler Landman took an impressive 6th place for Great Britain in the IFSC Climbing World Cup (bouldering) in Vail, Colorado at the weekend. Big names Sharma (USA) and Lama (AUT) proved no match for 17 year old Landman, although the top 3 places in both the men´s and women´s bouldering final were dominated by climbers from the USA and Austria.Kilian Fischhuber (Austria) took first place in the men´s competition and Alex Johnson (USA) took the top spot in the women´s. The USA took the team prize on home turf.Tyler said: “The Vail bouldering competition was a success in the end for me, although I certainly did not expect it to be this way before I entered. Having never competed in a World Cup bouldering event, I was reluctant at first and felt uncontrollably nervous. However, when put on the spot and in the moment, I found I could handle it calmly enough to stay composed.” Read the full report on the BMC Website Catch up with Tyler´s Blog on the Moon Website ( Source: BMC )
