The Austrian Markus Bendler has put up a new 9a with the name Gwagus Maximus at Schleierwasserfall in Tyrol. It was a 15 years old project of Gerhard Hörhager and is situated in the center of the main sector. Many famous climbers like Alex Huber, Klem Loskot, Stefan Fürst… tried to succeed but failed. Time went by ….but now time has come:) It´s quite bouldery, two really hard moves at the bottom followed by an 8b passage, an 8b+ move and at the end easy chillout…. the start is the crux. It took him many months and many many nerves to reach the top of this overhang.
