Jean Christophe Lafaille has solo´d what may be the hardest route in the Alps – in winter! Over 9 days he established a new line on the West Face of the Dru Lafaille with multiple pitches of A4 and one of A5.Other notable achievments by Jean Christophe Lafaille: 1989: Solo ascent of privilege du serpent (7c+) in Ceuse. 1992: Solo first ascent of Chemin des etoiles in the north side of the Croz pillar in Grandes Jorasses. 1993: Ascent of Cho Oyu. 1995: 10 north faces in the Alps. Solo ascent attempt on the Bonnington pillar in the South side of Annapurna. 1996: Solo ascent of GasherbrumII and Hidden Peak in 4 days.
