The sub-four hour Nose

It´s sort of like breaking the four-minute mile. Hans Florine and Jim Herson climbed the Nose on El Cap in just three hours, 57 minutes, 27 seconds on October 28. Their ascent shaved two minutes, eight seconds off the new record that had been set 13 days earlier by Tim O´Neill and Dean Potter- which itself had shattered a 10-year-old record for climbing the 34-pitch route.
