by Mick Ryan Back Down Under The Peak District climber Pete Whittaker (16) headpointed Kaluza-Klein E7 6c at Robin Hood´s Stride on Sunday, making his ascent just as it was going dark. He practiced the route for only 20 minutes before leading it. This is Pete´s fourth E7 this year having headpointed Braille Trail (Burbage South,) Obsession Fatale(The Roaches) and flashed Crack and Slab (Curbar). Pete who did his GSCE´s this year also made an ascent of Sad Amongst Friends E6 7a at the Cowper Stone earlier in the year. Pete has also done a new route at Burbage South called Back Down Under E5/6 6c (see photo) which climbs The Searing and then continues up the rounded left arete and face above.
